31/08/2010 Shop Road Ride !!!

Tonights road ride will leave from the shop at 6:00pm as always. Weather is looking good for tonight but then again you can never tell with this British weather.

It would be a good idea if you are planning on coming along, to bring some lights (not that we plan on riding in the dark), but as the nights are closing in we don't want to get caught out !!

Even if it's just the cheap Cateye 'loops' which are £9.99 each, it will be better than nothing!

Also our winter lights range is slowly filtering in with this years range being 'Cateye' and 'Smart' lights.

Campagnolo Super Record 2011 - The flagship gets lighter still!

Following the previous post which advertised their new shifter covers (on 2011 Super Record shifters), according to Campagnolo, its 2011 Super Record component set "is speeding up, overtaking even itself!"

Ride 24/7 haven't ridden any of these new components as of yet (soon to be in store) but it does seem impressive that the Italian masters have managed to pare about 100 grams or 5% from the approximate 2,000g weight of the 2009 groupset, down to under 1,900 grams for 2011, assuming we're fitting the optional titanium version of the Ultra Torque bottom bracket.


The speed and feel of the gear shifts is the area where die-hard fans might argue that the Campagnolo 'clunk' was its best feature, signifying positivity and durability. But for many, though, a 'snick', and a super fast one at that, is what they're looking for. We're looking forward to trying, and we have one instore now!!!

24/08/2010 Shop Road Ride - 6:00pm

Tonight's shop ride will meet at the shop at 6:00pm as always and will be around 25 miles (40km).
This evening we will be doing the famous Fairford loop. So if you are late you know where were going and can hopefully catch us up. Weather looks windy but hopefully shall stay dry so no need for a coat !!!

*Wilier Bikes Demo Evening/Tacx Trainers

Soon we will be having a Wilier/Tacx demo evening.

This is where you will be able to view the new 2011 Wilier bikes and have a try on some of the top of the range Tacx turbo trainers (which shall be demonstrated by the one and only Neil Boiler)!!!!

This event will start at 6pm, food and drink available (like last time), call or pop in store to find out more details! New date for this event shall be released soon.

Tonight's road ride will leave from the shop at 6:00pm, come a bit earlier for a tea or coffee. Again the weather suggests rain so remember to bring your rain jackets! As always the ride shall still be on rain or shine.
Looking forward to seeing you all there. Route shall be decided when everyone arrives as there will be a few different options.

2011 Wilier Road Bikes Instore !

We now have a Wilier Cento SL in the Alessandro Petacchi limited edition colours in store! (Come and check it out)

Along with Wilier's new edition to the range - the Wilier Gran Turismo !!!! Which will be replacing the Izoard, and the price will depend on the spec, whether it being Campagnolo equipped or SRAM.

Also as some of you may know the Mortirolo for 2011 will be replaced with a Izoard XP which is also one of four that is in the UK at the moment and we have one in store now!

Come in store and ask for more details, we shall also be holding a Wilier Demo evening where you shall be able to come along to see the full range of 2011 Wilier bikes and find out all that you need to know about them.

Tonight's shop ride will be at 6:00pm, and we will meet at the shop.
It will be anything between 30 - 40 miles at a fairly steady pace!

Hope to see you later! Don't forget your rain coats, as no doubt it will rain again and will still be on regardless of the weather.
